A vital and moving collection of short stories set in Sarajevo during the Bosnian War. An exploration of humanity under siege. For full review see: Nov 22, Ciaran Monaghan rated it liked it Shelves: Death in the Museum of Modern Art is a series of short stories set in Sarajevo during the Siege from after Bosnia declared independence from Yugoslavia. It’s not really about the siege itself but more its effects on people psychologically. As a result, the narrative is a little unclear and mysterious and has hints of magical realism too.
Sometimes that can be a little difficult lazarevdka follow but mostly I enjoyed it.
